Sponsorship Coordinator

ROLE:  Sponsorship Coordinator, Strathcona County Culture Days Planning Committee

The Arts and Culture Council of Strathcona County (ACCSC) is a vibrant, community-focused organization that champions the promotion and appreciation of arts, culture and heritage in our region.

Strathcona County Culture Days Celebrations is an annual event aimed at promoting and celebrating arts, culture, and heritage in our community. 

The Culture Days Planning Committee is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing the event to ensure its success year after year. 


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sponsorship Coordinator brings life into Culture Days through the development of a sponsorship strategy and by obtaining monetary and in-kind sponsorship to ease the financial pressures of an event this size.  The Sponsorship Coordinator is another key role who represents Culture Days while working externally with local businesses and corporations.  The key responsibilities include:
 - Developing and executing a sponsorship strategy and plan for Culture Days
 - Works closely with other committee members ensuring alignment with communication, marketing, and financials
 - Establish a listing of potential event sponsors, eliciting their participation, finalizing sponsorship agreements, and coordinating their promotion in the event
 - Securing monetary and in-kind sponsorship in exchange for pre/during/post event advertising opportunities (website, social media, event)
 - Manage sponsor relations to ensure all needs are attended to and to explore improvements to sponsorship agreements

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As a Sponsorship Coordinator, you like to meet new people, are comfortable asking for sponsorships, well organized and are able to work with local businesses and possibly large corporations .  You have experience networking with community partners and are excited to create new networks related to Culture Days.  This role requires strong communication skills both verbally and written. TIME INVOLVED
2 hours per week from now until the end of September, additional hours are always welcome.  Needs to be available for event days once determined to support sponsors during the event. There will be a wrap up meeting in November.
