Volunteer Driver
Volunteer Drivers will be required to transport seniors to appointments in Lake Country, or Kelowna. Rides could be for medical appointments or errands. This position would be good for people who enjoy meeting new people and chatting. This can be a very fulfilling way to help you fellow community members who are in need.
Additional Details & Skills Required
Volunteers are required to provide proof of insurance and a clean driving record, COVID-19 training will be provided.
Certification or Education Required
Hold a valid driver’s license and have five years of driving experience with a good driving record/abstract Demonstrate patience, understanding and empathy for seniors Own a reliable vehicle; perform regular repair and maintenance to ensure the vehicle’s performance Hold appropriate vehicle insurance with a minimum $2 million liability (for passenger) Pass a criminal record check for the vulnerable population Be physically able to assist seniors to get in and out of the car, if needed
