Volunteer with Umuaka Africa Society
AB
[map]
Ongoing
Umuaka Africa is building a vibrant community where African children in Calgary can celebrate their roots, learn through storytelling, drumming, music, crafts, and joyful family gatherings. As a volunteer, you’ll be part of a movement that uplifts children, strengthens families, and keeps African traditions alive in Canada. You’ll have the chance to help at events, welcome families, support children during activities, assist with registration, and contribute your own creative ideas. Volunteers also support behind-the-scenes with outreach, social media, photography, or helping coordinate programs. Whether you love working with children, organizing, performing, or just being part of something meaningful, there’s a role for you. By volunteering, you’re not just giving your time, you’re helping plant seeds of belonging and connection that will grow for years to come.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Be part of a welcoming community where your time and talents make a real difference. As a volunteer, you’ll gain leadership experience, build lasting friendships, and help inspire the next generation—all while enjoying lively events filled with storytelling, drumming, and the richness of African heritage.
