Umuaka Africa Society
Umuaka Africa is a community initiative dedicated to instilling heritage, belonging, and identity in African children living in Calgary. Through storytelling, music, drumming, crafts, and joyful celebrations, we connect young people to their African roots while creating a vibrant space for families to come together.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to nurture a generation of African children who are rooted in their heritage, confident in their identity, and connected to their community.
We believe that every story, song, and expression carries the power to shape confidence and belonging. By volunteering with Umuaka Africa, you become part of a village that uplifts children, strengthens families, and celebrates the richness of African heritage in Canada.
When you join us, you’re not just giving your time, you’re planting seeds of belonging and connection that will grow for years to come.
