Mentor Opportunity with STEM for the Future
10 month terms
Are you passionate about STEM education, innovation, and making a real difference? Join STEM for the Future and help empower the next generation of scientists, engineers, and leaders. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to making STEM education accessible, inclusive, and hands-on for all students, especially those from lower-income, ESL, and special needs backgrounds. Through programs like free summer camps, adapted robotics teams, digital literacy classes, and financial literacy workshops, we are creating new pathways to opportunity for youth across Alberta and beyond. Our mission extends beyond individual programs. We are actively working to reform Alberta’s K–12 curriculum, advocating for a more modern, hands-on, and accessible education system. By driving STEM innovation and promoting educational equity, we aim to create a future where every student has the opportunity to thrive. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to: Mentor and inspire youth aged 6–14 Support robotics programs and hands-on STEM activities Contribute to real educational change at the system level Help expand access to education in underserved communities Join a dedicated team committed to innovation, equity, and long-term impact Whether you are an experienced STEM professional, a university student, a robotics enthusiast, or someone passionate about education, your skills and energy can help us build a better future.
