Food Link Pick Up Driver
Time Commitment: Weekly on Mondays from 8:30 am to 10 am Duties and Responsibilities: The Food Link Pick-Up Driver will pick-up non-perishable food from Food Link (located at the Calgary Food Bank) on a weekly basis and deliver donated food to staff at the Housing First Lounge at The Alex Community Health Centre. Food is pre-ordered but you may be requested to grab extra non-perishable food items available. You will also be loading and unloading food from the vehicle. About The Alex: The Alex is a not-for-profit organization that has delivered thoughtful, comprehensive health and social solutions to vulnerable, low-income Calgarians for over 50 years. With a full scope of health, housing, social and wellness programs, The Alex provides a hub of support with a reach to Calgary’s highest-need areas. The Alex serves a community with complex health and social challenges, often the result of issues such as poverty, trauma, housing instability, and addiction.
