Food Link Prep
Time Commitment: Weekly on Mondays from 9:30 am to 10:30 am Duties and Responsibilities: On a weekly basis, the Food Link Preparation Volunteer will package food items from Food Link into individual bags for clients to take at the Housing First Lounge at The Alex Community Health Centre. One or two food items will be placed into "to go bags". With produce separated and placed in Ziploc Bags. All packaging materials will be provided. About The Alex: The Alex is a not-for-profit organization that has delivered thoughtful, comprehensive health and social solutions to vulnerable, low-income Calgarians for over 50 years. With a full scope of health, housing, social and wellness programs, The Alex provides a hub of support with a reach to Calgary’s highest-need areas. The Alex serves a community with complex health and social challenges, often the result of issues such as poverty, trauma, housing instability, and addiction.
