Green Team Brantford

Green Team Brantford focuses on waste diversion at community events. Our mandate is to establish and demonstrate best practices for event waste diversion through community engagement. Our flagship festival is Brantford Canada Day, a 20,000 person multi-faceted celebration. Since 2018, we've grown diversion from 21% to 85% of all festival waste. We also support approximately 20 other community events throughout the year. Volunteers staff waste stations to help attendees sort organics, recycling, paper, and garbage correctly. Initial commitment is just a few hours at one event. If you have a good time with us, come back for more as often or as occasionally as you like. We are a 100% volunteer organization operating with a collaborative leadership model.
