Volunteers staff waste stations to help event attendees sort/divert waste at various single day (typically a few hours) events, generally on Saturdays or Sundays, or occasionally weekday evenings. Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Learn more about what goes where under Ontario's new recycling program (changed Jan 1/2026). Volunteers receive a Green Team t-shirt made from 100% recycled material, helping to eliminate fabric waste by reducing fast fashion.
