Grand River Arts Festival waste diversion
Volunteers staff waste stations to help attendees sort/divert waste at this exceptional one of a kind event featuring art, live music, theatre & performance art, held on the historic grounds of Glenhyrst Art Gallery in Brantford, ON. Last year, we diverted 87% of the waste. This year we aim to exceed the threshold to be considered a zero-waste event!
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Learn more about what goes where under Ontario's new recycling program (changed Jan 1/2026). Volunteers receive a Green Team t-shirt made from 100% recycled material, helping to eliminate fabric waste by reducing fast fashion. Snacks and refreshments available for volunteers.
