Volunteer Legal Advisor – Remote (BC)

2-5 hours / monthly
4-6 months
Let’s Play! Society is a growing BC nonprofit creating inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming programs for neurodivergent children and youth. We are seeking a BC lawyer interested in providing pro bono legal support as the Society develops its governance, employment, contracting, privacy, risk-management, and operational systems.

This is a flexible, primarily virtual advisory role. The Legal Advisor will work with the Executive Director and Board on an as-needed basis to identify legal considerations, review key documents, and help the Society develop sound practices as it grows.
Certification or Education Required
Applicants providing legal advice must be lawyers entitled to practise law in British Columbia and in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia. Experience in nonprofit/charities law, employment law, contracts, privacy, governance, or risk management is particularly valuable, but not required.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Use your professional expertise to help build a sustainable nonprofit from the ground up. This role offers an opportunity to provide meaningful pro bono support, contribute to strong governance and responsible organizational growth, and help create more inclusive community opportunities for neurodivergent children and youth across BC.
