Your role is to make navigating a visit to the facility as easy and comfortable as possible. You will proactively make yourself available to visitors, greeting, providing information and direction, and possibly accompanying incoming patients and visitors to the department or unit they are seeking. People should not feel they are interrupting if they need to ask for assistance. Be forward in asking incoming individuals if they need directional support or physical assistance to their destination and accompany them if needed, providing a wheelchair if needed. Be aware of and communicate any hospital notices or daily information such as outbreaks and restrictions, safety concerns, walk-in restrictions, and meeting locations as appropriate. Be in frequent communication with registration desk and security staff, and be comfortable asking questions if further instructions are needed.
Certification or Education Required
Training is provided to accepted volunteer by us.
