We are the Volunteer Resources department at the Wetaskiwin Hospital and Care Centre within Alberta Health Services (AHS). Volunteers in our acute care and long-term care make a big difference in the lives of patients and residents, their families, and staff members with a variety of roles available in both direct patient and behind the scenes support.

As part of the larger AHS organization, we share their vision, values, and competencies.

AHS Vision: Healthy Albertans. Healthy Communities. Together.

Compassion: We show kindness and empathy for all in our care, and for each other.
Accountability: We are honest, principled and transparent.

Safety: We place safety and quality improvement at the centre of all our decisions.

Know myself: Take responsibility. Eager to learn. Recognize my emotions.
Care together: Show kindness. Communicate effectively. Work with others.
Contribute daily: Stand up for safety. Commit to quality service. Act with purpose.
