Website + Blog Manager

3-5 hours / weekly
Ideally 1 year minimum commitment.
The Mental Health Society of Greater Victoria is seeking a website + blog manager! As an organization, our mission is to improve mental health in Victoria by contributing to relevant education and improving access to local support services. Many people find us through our website, so we must keep it up to date and easy to use!  

We are a 100% volunteer-run organization that adapts to our volunteers' availability. All tasks for this position will be performed remotely on a flexible schedule. However, we host online meetings every two weeks for our social media/website team and one additional meeting every 3 months for all our volunteers. Currently, these meetings take place over Google Meet. On top of meetings, volunteers are expected to work remotely to complete their assigned tasks by the given deadline (2-4hrs weekly minimum).


Key responsibilities:
Regularly update the website per given feedback from the team
Oversee website features such as the blog, online store (in progress), resources, etc. 
Test the website for any functionality issues
Monitor metrics and pass them along to our Marketing manager


The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
A keen eye for details and design
Ability to delegate tasks and monitor processes of other team members
Experience with Squarespace / website creation 
Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
Experience with Canva and/or graphic design software is a strong asset
Ability to be consistent with branding and colour schemes 
Capable of initiative and collaborating with other teams and initiatives
Passionate about mental health
