Website Designer/Developer

We're looking for a Website Designer volunteer or intern to own the look, feel, and day-to-day upkeep of vanvaf.com and artvancouver.net. You'll blend design sensibility with hands-on website management — keeping our pages fresh, our online stores current, and our user experience smooth for every visitor who lands on our site.

What You'll Do
- Keep vanvaf.com and artvancouver.net up to date with current events, programming, and content
- Design and maintain website content — copy, images, and SEO — for a polished, on-brand front end
- Upload and manage blog content on the backend
- Update and merchandise our online stores
- Update exhibitor listings and art class listings as programming changes
- Improve user experience and increase visitor interaction across the site
- Collaborate with the design, marketing, and exhibitor teams to develop new features and improve usability
- Shape corporate communications, landing pages, and advertising materials with a consistent, sophisticated visual identity
- Work with our design team and Creative Director to keep the site aligned with VVAF's broader brand and campaigns

What We're Looking For

- Creativity, strong communication, and sharp problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of HTML and CMS platforms
- An eye for UX and SEO fundamentals
- Comfort designing for both desktop and mobile experiences
- Familiarity with graphic design tools and workflows (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)
- Ability to manage a live website independently — testing changes, fixing issues, and shipping updates on a regular cadence
