Food Bank Pick up Volunteer

509 East Hastings St., 3454 Lougheed Hwy. [map]
Ongoing
At Vancouver Second Mile Society (VSMS), we are dedicated to improving the quality of life for low-income seniors through our centre, which creates space for community building and outreach that promotes social, recreational, nutritional, and informational needs. The increasing gentrification of the Downtown Eastside, which results in the displacement of community resources, highlights the importance of fostering community resilience and autonomy.

The Food Bank Pick-up Volunteer will drive to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank (GVFB), located at 3454 Lougheed Hwy., on Thursdays at 8:00 AM and drop off all the picked-up items at our facility at 509 East Hastings St.
