Why This Opportunity is Awesome: Kaleidoscope isn’t your typical mental health nonprofit—we’re a peer-led, grassroots movement reimagining mental health support through lived experience, mutual aid, and community-led programs. We create spaces where people are not just supported—but valued and paid for their lived expertise. We’re looking for volunteers to support grant writing and fundraising, helping us grow sustainable funding for peer-led mental health initiatives. This includes identifying funding opportunities, supporting grant applications, and contributing to creative, values-aligned fundraising strategies. Your impact: helping us expand programs, train peer supporters, and build a more inclusive, community-driven mental health system. Whether you’re experienced or just getting started, this is a chance to build skills, collaborate with a passionate team, and contribute to meaningful systems change. What You’ll Do (Grant Writing & Fundraising) Grant Writing Support Research and identify relevant grants and funding opportunities Support drafting and editing grant proposals and applications Help gather program data, stories, and impact metrics for submissions Track deadlines and support submission timelines Contribute to reporting and follow-up where needed Fundraising & Development Support Help brainstorm and develop values-aligned fundraising strategies Support donor outreach, engagement, and relationship-building efforts Assist with fundraising campaigns (e.g., online campaigns, events, partnerships) Contribute to storytelling and communications that highlight Kaleidoscope’s impact Explore creative funding streams (community fundraising, sponsorships, collaborations)
