For 27 years, the Make-A-Wish Golf Classic - sponsored by Cooperators Western Region and Boston Pizza in Northern Alberta has raised critical funds (over $5 million to date!) to grant wishes. This event will be taking place on June 3rd, 2026 at the Windermere Golf & Country Club (19110 Ellerslie Rd). We are looking for volunteers to support in a variety of roles throughout the day to ensure the event runs smoothly!

Date: Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026 - 8:00am-7:00pm
Location: Windermere Golf & Country Club (19110 Ellerslie Road SW)
Edmonton AB T6W 1A5 (Meet-up Location: Under the balcony of the club house)
Volunteer Roles:
- Volunteer Lead: being the onsite contact for all volunteers, ensuring breaks, etc. (x1)
- Set up & Registration: setting up the registration area and the MAW hole; checking in all golfers (x6)
- Runner/Driver: getting volunteers out to holes, doing check in rounds, bathroom breaks etc. (x2)
- Hole In One Spotter: being on the green of the hole-in-one prize holes to monitor and verify any lucky shots (x9)
- Drink tickets - selling drink tickets for the banquet and tearing down/clean up (x2)
Other Notes:
- Free onsite parking, location is NOT transit accessible
- Volunteers must be able to walk various distances, standing/walking required for the duration of most shifts, bathrooms on course will require walking to access
- Meals/snacks provided throughout the day
- Dress Code: MAWC T-shirt (one will be provided to any non-MAWC volunteer), NO jeans *must be wearing golf course appropriate attire*, comfortable shoes
- To bring: water bottle, snacks if needed, sunscreen
- Training provided day-of
