Health Together is a global nonprofit bringing together health professionals, researchers, integrative practitioners, and communities to advance health equity and improve the health of women and children. 

Our work focuses on evidence-based, culturally inclusive, and community-informed approaches to maternal, reproductive, and global health. 

About the Team 

The BIWOC Women’s Health Research Team advances health equity by centering the experiences of Black, Indigenous, and Women of Colour (BIWOC) mothers during the perinatal period and BIWOC healthcare workers. 

We conduct literature reviews and support research initiatives that identify systemic gaps and promote culturally grounded, community-informed solutions in maternal and perinatal health. 

What You’ll Do 

- Conduct literature searches and review academic research. 
- Summarize research findings and identify key themes and gaps. 
- Support literature reviews and evidence synthesis. 
- Research issues affecting BIWOC maternal and perinatal health. 
- Help develop research questions, projects, and research materials. 
- Participate in team meetings and discussions. 
- Collaborate with other volunteers on assigned projects. 

What We’re Looking For 

- Interest in women’s health, maternal/perinatal health, public health, or health equity. 
- Strong research, writing, and critical-thinking skills. 
- Ability to organize information and meet deadlines. 
- Cultural humility and respect for diverse perspectives and lived experiences. 
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively. 

Students, recent graduates, professionals, researchers, and applicants with relevant community or lived experience are welcome to apply.
