Video Editor – Create Content for a STEM Nonprofit 🎬

Futurvia Minds Society is a student-led STEM education nonprofit society recognized by the Government of British Columbia. Through our different programs including 100% free workshops, clubs, podcasts, and outreach initiatives, we provide accessible STEM learning opportunities to students and youth across Canada and beyond. We are seeking intermediate skill level/experienced and motivated Video Editors to support the creation of high-quality digital content for our educational and organizational initiatives. This position is ideal for individuals who already possess strong video editing skills and are looking to apply their abilities toward a meaningful cause while building a portfolio of impactful work. Video Editors will be responsible for transforming raw footage into engaging, polished content for platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and other digital channels. Projects may include podcast episodes, promotional videos, educational content, event recaps, volunteer spotlights, and social media campaigns. As training is not provided, applicants should be comfortable working independently and producing content that meets standard level of quality. Example videos are displayed on our social media accounts. Successful volunteers will work closely with organizational executives, leadership, and marketing teams while contributing creative ideas that help strengthen Futurvia Minds Society’s digital presence and community impact. Additional Details & Skills Required
This is a flexible, fully online, creative role. Video Editors are expected to stay active, contribute consistently to content production, and provide at least two week’s notice if stepping down. This position offers valuable hands-on editing experience, opportunities to build a professional portfolio, and a direct impact on the organization’s brand, storytelling, and growth.
Certification or Education Required
No formal certification required. Experience in leadership, business, marketing, or nonprofit work is an asset.
