Teach Financial Literacy with JA Central Ontario

As a JA In School volunteer, you’ll be a teacher for a day guiding students through interactive lessons on budgeting, saving, credit, interest, and making informed financial decisions. No teacher experience is required; we’ll provide everything you need. As a JA volunteer In School, you’ll: Facilitate a one-day learning experience for a Grade 3-8 class Lead interactive activities and group discussions Share real-world examples from your own education or career Encourage students to ask questions and think critically about financial decisions JA provides: Program materials , Lesson plans. Training, Classroom support and Ongoing JA staff assistance
Additional Details & Skills Required
Volunteers are asked to complete JA registration (10 minutes), submit their Vulnerable Sector Check application (10 minutes), attend virtual training (1 hour), prepare for their classroom session (1-2 hours), and participate in Volunteer Day during the school day (approximately 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.).
