Social Content Creator & Website Maintenance (Volunteer)

Ongoing
Why this matters
When someone is scared or unsure, finding clear, compassionate info online can be the first breath of relief. As our Social Content Creator & Website Maintenance volunteer, you’ll help people in the Tri-Region discover free, trauma-informed counselling and groups—and feel safe reaching out.

What you’ll do (with templates & checklists)

Plan & create content: simple monthly content calendar; posts/reels/stories in Canva; accessible captions (plain language, alt-text, captions on video).

Publish & engage: schedule via Meta Business Suite; post to Instagram/Facebook; reply/route basic DMs (non-clinical) using approved responses.

Keep the website current (Wix): update pages, events, resources, and forms; fix broken links; tidy navigation; post news/volunteer opportunities; light SEO (titles, meta, headings).

Measure what matters: track basic metrics (reach, clicks, form starts) in Google Analytics / platform insights; report quick highlights that inform next month’s plan.

Brand care: apply our voice, colours, and fonts; ensure dignity-forward imagery and survivor-safe language.

How we’ll support you
Clear brand guide, caption/templates, post checklists, and a simple approval workflow; short orientation to trauma-aware language, accessibility basics, and our Wix structure. You’ll never handle clinical advice—only publish/route information safely.

Time & place
3–5 hrs/week, one academic term minimum. Many tasks are remote; occasional on-site collaboration in Stony Plain/Spruce Grove. Volunteer/unpaid; housing not provided.

Who you are
A kind, detail-oriented storyteller who can turn complex info into calm, clear posts. Comfortable with Canva, basic Wix edits, and learning light SEO/analytics. You care about accuracy, accessibility, and ethical, survivor-safe content.
