Volunteer Hamper Delivery Driver
Ongoing
Volunteer Hamper Delivery Driver Each week, Squamish Helping Hands delivers food hampers to community members who face mobility challenges, disabilities, or other barriers that prevent them from visiting the food bank in person. These hampers provide essential nourishment, and a sense of care and connection, to people in our community. As a Hamper Delivery Volunteer, you’ll play an important role in ensuring food reaches those who need it most. What You’ll Do: Arrive at the Food Hub by 12:00 p.m.; deliveries typically wrap up by 2:00 p.m. Pick up and deliver food hampers to recipients between 12:00 and 1:30 p.m. Ensure timely delivery so refrigerated items remain safe to eat Offer a friendly greeting and conduct informal wellness checks during deliveries Report if a recipient isn’t home or if anything seems unusual Why It Matters: Your time and kindness help ensure that every person in our community has access to fresh, nutritious food, even if they can’t make it to the food bank themselves. A simple delivery can brighten someone’s day and make a real difference.
