ROLE:  Culture Days Calendar Coordinator, Strathcona County Culture Days Planning Committee

The Arts and Culture Council of Strathcona County  (ACCSC) is a vibrant, community-focused organization that champions the promotion and appreciation of arts, culture and heritage in our region.

Strathcona County Culture Days Celebrations is an annual event aimed at promoting and celebrating arts, culture, and heritage in our community. 

The Culture Days Planning Committee is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing the event to ensure its success year after year. 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As our Culture Days Calendar Coordinator, you'll be the beating heart of our events calendar, ensuring it's packed with fantastic community happenings. You'll be responsible for finding, curating, and promoting events that highlight the richness and diversity of our arts and culture scene during the month of September to celebrate Culture Days in our County. Your key responsibilities will be:
 - Identify and curate a comprehensive list of county community events
 - Collaborate closely with community groups to ensure wide representation
 - Work with the ACCSC social media resource to manage and update our events calendar across several platforms
 - Collaborate with the Communication and Marketing Coordinator to promote the events via online and social media
 - Conducting research to stay abreast of emerging trends and opportunities

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You're a social media whizz, comfortable navigating websites, and have a knack for uncovering the hidden gems in our community. You're a team player who loves working with diverse groups and can communicate effectively with everyone. You have an insatiable curiosity and are always on the lookout for new happenings and events.

TIME INVOLVED
2 hours per week from June until the 3rd week in October, additional hours are always welcome.
