Google Ads Specialist (Remote, Part Time)

Ongoing
Organization: Right to Live Canada
Location: Remote (Canada-wide)

------ About Right to Live
Right to Live is a federally incorporated nonprofit (est. 2023) focused on ending food insecurity and poverty among Canadians with disabilities. We fund disability-friendly food programs, advocate for accessible housing, and run national awareness campaigns. The infrastructure is in place—your digital skills will help us scale.

------ Your Impact
Google donates US $10k/month in Ad Grants credit to every eligible charity. You’ll turn that allowance into:
- steady monthly donors
- high-energy campaign-based drives
- a growing newsletter list
- broader reach for advocacy & education work

You’ll own strategy and day-to-day execution while collaborating with our content and Wix web teams. This is a non-profit in the start-up and development stage, so an ability to work from scratch is essential. Meanwhile, this also means you've huge freedom, a full ad grant to access and room to grow.

------ Core Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize our Google Ad Grant—keyword research, ad copy, bid tuning, compliance.

- Coordinate with web devs to ensure paid-search landing pages in Wix are conversion-ready; recommend layout or copy tweaks.

- Map and track funnels (donation, newsletter, advocacy) by setting GA4 goals, Tag Manager events, and UTM conventions; request tech help when custom code is needed.

- Iterate relentlessly: A/B-test ads & pages, prune low-quality terms, and lift CTR, CPA, and ROAS.

- Report monthly using Google Data Studio (Looker Studio) templates—translate metrics into clear, actionable insights for staff and board.

- Advise the wider team on on-page SEO, Ad Grants policy changes, and future channel expansion (YouTube, Display, Performance Max).

------ Ideal Skill Set (Intermediate Level)
- 1–3 years hands-on Google Ads Search & Display experience; prior Ad Grants work strongly preferred.

- Working knowledge of GA4 and Google Tag Manager for basic conversion tracking.

- Comfort using Wix (or proven ability to learn it quickly) to place tags, adjust SEO settings, and tweak page content.

- Solid grasp of PPC fundamentals, keyword strategy, and landing-page CRO; basic understanding of SEO.

- Strong analytical chops in Google Data Studio and Excel/Sheets; can explain results to non-marketers.

- No formal certification required—demonstrated results trump certificates.

------ How to Apply
Email volunteer@righttolive.ca with subject “Google Ads Volunteer – [Your Name]” and include:

- A brief note on why the mission excites you.

- A link to your résumé or LinkedIn.

- (Optional) One quick optimization you’d test first on a brand-new Ad Grants account.

Rolling review—goal to onboard by July 15, 2025.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
------ What You’ll Gain
- A marquee portfolio case: scaling a charity’s Ad Grants account from zero to full capacity.

- Collaboration with seasoned marketers, designers, and nonprofit leaders—plus stellar references.

- The satisfaction of turning optimized clicks into meals, housing advocacy, and real-world impact for Canadians with disabilities.

- A formal letter of recommendation after a successful volunteering period of three months
