Brand Guideline & Identity Designer (Volunteer, Remote)
Ongoing
--- Brand Guideline & Identity Designer (Volunteer, Remote) - Refine and expand the visual backbone of a growing national movement. Right to Live Canada is a fast-moving nonprofit startup working to stop poverty-driven euthanasia and ensure Canadians with disabilities can live with dignity. We’re building a sharp, professional, and highly strategic organization — and we need a visual identity to match. We have an initial brand kit (logo, color palette, basic style direction), but it needs to be expanded, clarified, and adapted across platforms. This role is about taking what exists, improving it, and building out the full brand guidelines to cover all major applications — web, social media, fundraising campaigns, event signage, and beyond. Your Role: - Refine and improve our existing brand kit into a more comprehensive, professional-grade brand guide - Develop detailed guidelines for: ------ Website styling and UI direction (fonts, spacing, image usage, tone) ------ Social media templates and formatting consistency ------ Print materials and fundraising visuals (posters, handouts, signage) - Identify gaps in current brand presentation and resolve inconsistencies - Create a unified, scalable system we can apply across all internal teams and external campaigns - Work directly with the Executive Director to ensure the visual brand supports strategic goals What’s in it for you: - Build a high-impact portfolio piece — you’ll be defining the public face of a national nonprofit - Real strategic influence — your decisions will shape how the public sees and connects with our mission - Flexible, remote work — ideal for designers, freelancers, or students looking to make a meaningful contribution - Collaborate directly with leadership and join a lean, startup-style nonprofit built for modern impact - Potential for ongoing design leadership as we scale and grow into new campaigns What We're Looking For: - Experience in brand design, identity systems, or visual communication - Strong portfolio demonstrating clarity, modernity, and strategic design thinking - Confidence in applying brand thinking across digital (web, social) and print mediums - Self-directed but collaborative — willing to ask questions and push for excellence - Bonus: Familiarity with accessibility principles and inclusive design for public-facing materials To Apply: Send a short introduction and portfolio link (or samples) to volunteer@RightToLive.ca. If you’re excited by the chance to help shape a mission-first brand from the ground up, we want to hear from you.
