.• Through community efforts Saskatoon will continue to have valued afforestation areas to mitigate climate change. Heritage and greenspace will be safe and protected. In the 2013-2023 CoS Strategic Plan, then city manager, Murray Totland asks, “What would Saskatoon look like if it grew to half a million people? And then we need to consider, “What do we want it to look like?”

.• Our non profit charity mission and vision is for two healthy, safe green spaces with thriving and diverse ecosystems with protection of wetlands, woodlands, and grasslands, and an inter-connected West Swale eco-system to support sustainable growth and environmental leadership. The CoS and P4G are currently planning 7-8 neighbourhoods with 70,000 people, a new employment sector, and a rural industrial-commercial area all next to the afforestation areas. Our non profit charity pro-actively engages, and seeks protections regarding these urban afforestation areas and their ecosystem. Responsible, ethical, and environmentally sustainable actions for the current generation and the next plans for the impact from the exponential growth in the urban footprint which will arrive in the afforestation areas. The economic and cultural imperative as a greenspace destination are enhanced by the increase in awareness of the heritage value, not only is it a unique and spectacular prairie greenspace featuring both deciduous and evergreen trees, something usually only witnessed north of the tree line in the province of Saskatchewan, the afforestation areas and wetlands have First Nation, Paleoindian, historical, geographical and geological heritage for the enrichment of visitors, residents of the Rural Municipality of Corman Park 344 and citizens of Saskatoon.
