Facilitator - Personal Volunteer Support Network

We are looking for three facilitators to help co-manage three Personal Volunteer Support Networks. This is not an IT position. A Personal Volunteer Support Network is a group of 5 to 8 volunteers that come together in an organized way to help someone with a disability (we call a Centre) accomplish their goals.

Two Facilitators must be comfortable around service dogs while it may be beneficial for the 3rd Facilitator to have an understanding or experience with FASD.

The Facilitator is asked to commit to 3-5 hours a month to work with the Centre to:
•	identify goals and needs
•	lead meetings and network communication
•	help create trusting relationships
•	recruit volunteers
•	engage other network volunteers to take on tasks that help accomplish Centre goals
•	encourage creativity to solve problems and identify solutions and tasks to accomplish Centre goals
You will lead one meeting a month with the Centre and one meeting a month with the whole support network to discuss goals and share ideas on how to work together to fulfil Centre goals. As the Facilitator you will be an organizer while other network volunteers take on specific tasks between meetings.

•	attend all meetings - in-person or virtually (determined by the Centre)
•	committed to confidentiality
•	believe that all people are valued and belong and that everyone should have the right to share their unique gifts and abilities
•	believe that people with disabilities have the right to self-determine their own lives
•	tech-savvy
•	willing to learn on the job while completing an online training program with mentor support from REALM.
