REALM Vision: People with high physical disabilities and their families have the opportunity to build good relationships and live their life.

REALM wants every person with a high physical disability and their families to self-direct and self-determine their own best life. REALM knows that volunteer support networks are a tool to help achieve this. REALM believes the definition of a best life is different for everyone. A personal support network is a small group of volunteers who come together to support a person with (or connected to) high physical disability. We call that person a Centre.

A Centre can be an individual, a parent, spouse, siblings or a whole family. The support network works together to help a Centre achieve priorities and goals. One activity at a time. One goal at a time. One dream at a time. Volunteer support networks can make a difference.

REALM will guide and support Centres to develop and maintain their own network through small group workshops, one-to-one coaching, mentor support, and free tools and resources. REALM is funded almost entirely through donors like you and as a registered Canadian charity, every donation over $20 receives a tax receipt.
