Be the mentor you wish you had!

1 hour / weekly
Minimum one year
Mentoring gives you the chance to engage with someone younger than you, who may see things very differently. In a changing world, it is essential to understand how those who have come after you think, and also how they view your own generation. Creating a friendship with a positive role model can have life-long impacts on both of you. We’re looking for volunteers 18-80+ who have time (average 1 hour/week) and talents to share and who value children and youth.
Additional Details & Skills Required
Key to successful mentoring is sharing like interests, being willing to talk to each other, try new experiences and be a friend.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Mentoring youth gives you the opportunity to do things with youth that you like to do! Sharing your interests can make a huge difference, and giving someone to talk to, laugh with and have fun with impacts not only them, but you too!

Witnessing the transformation of a child into a confident, concerned, and motivated young person is a remarkable thing.
