Kerr Street Mission Van Driver - Food Drive Pickup Volunteer (18+)

Seeking a volunteer aged 18+ who can help us transport weekly food donations from our recurring donor locations to KSM using the KSM vans.  Suitable for volunteers who have a clean driving record and can lift up to 50 lbs.

Available Shifts: Thursdays 9am-11am, additional shifts available at peak times

Responsibilities:

Drop off donation bins at donor sites (schools, businesses etc).  
Pickup up filled donation bins once food drives are complete. 
Drive the KSM van between KSM and the donor's destination, (working with a Food Drive Pickup Assistant if a large food drive), following KSM's van guidelines. 
Greet donors warmly and thank them on behalf of KSM.
Load donations carefully into the vehicle.
Transport donations to KSM and help unload them into the appropriate storage facility.
Contact KSM if any issues arise along the route and also confirm deliveries have been made.
Drive carefully, obeying speed limits and local traffic/parking bylaws.
Positively represent KSM on the road and in the community.

Requirements: 

Must be 18+.
Must be reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
Flexible schedule.
Good driver with a valid G driver's license and current auto insurance.
Provision of drivers abstract (if using KSM van).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with no issue.
Mobile phone with text capability.
Criminal Record & Judicial Matters Check (police check).

Commitment: Weekly commitment for a minimum of 6 months.
