About Us

We are a nonprofit organization based in Oakville, Ontario, dedicated to empowering the next generation with practical life skills that are often overlooked in traditional education. Through engaging, interactive workshops hosted across Ontario--primarily within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)--we help young adolescents develop confidence, resilience, and real-world knowledge that will benefit them throughout their lives.
Our mission is simple: to inspire, educate, and empower youth through youth. We believe that students often learn best from relatable role models who have recently navigated many of the same experiences.

About the Role

We're looking for passionate high school student leaders who want to make a meaningful impact in their communities by mentoring younger students. As a Lead Presenter, you'll work alongside 1-2 other student volunteers to deliver fun, engaging, and interactive workshops at schools, libraries, community centres, and youth organizations throughout Ontario. Each workshop is supervised by an adult volunteer to ensure a safe and supportive environment. You don't need prior teaching experience: we provide the presentation, facilitator notes, games, activities, and training. Your role is to bring the workshop to life by connecting with participants, encouraging discussion, and creating an enjoyable learning experience. Applications are open to ALL Ontario high school students, regardless of where you live. Workshops will be scheduled based on your availability whenever possible.
Applicants may register individually or as part of a group of up to three friends.

Workshop Topics

Lead Presenters may have the opportunity to present one or more of the following workshops:
Public Speaking
Financial Literacy
Coding & Artificial Intelligence
Mindfulness & Stress Management

Whenever possible, facilitators will be assigned topics based on their interests and strengths. However, workshop assignments may vary depending on organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Presenter, you will:
- Deliver an engaging presentation using prepared slides and facilitator notes.
- Lead interactive discussions that encourage participation and critical thinking.
- Facilitate games and hands-on learning activities.
- Build positive relationships with participants and serve as a supportive role model.
- Create an inclusive, welcoming, and respectful environment for all attendees.
- Assist with setting up workshop materials before the event.
- Help clean up and pack materials after the workshop.
- Work collaboratively with fellow facilitators and the supervising adult volunteer.
- Represent the organization professionally at all times.

Volunteer Journey

2. Submit Your Application: Complete and submit the application sent to your email address.
3. Virtual Interview: Selected applicants will be invited to a short virtual interview so we can learn more about their interests, communication skills, and leadership experience.
4. Training & Scheduling: Successful applicants will complete facilitator training. Once training is complete, we'll coordinate workshop dates that fit your schedule and assign you to a facilitation team.
5. Receive Workshop Materials: You'll receive the presentation, facilitator guide, and supporting resources via Gmail. If physical materials are required, they will be mailed, delivered, or arranged for pickup. Some workshops may also feature a guest keynote speaker.
6. Prepare: Review the presentation, practice with your team, and become familiar with the activities before your workshop.
7. Inspire Young Learners: Present your workshop, engage participants, and make a lasting positive impact on younger students in your community.

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking enthusiastic high school students who are leaders, mentors, and positive role models within their schools and communities.

Ideal applicants are:
- Passionate about helping younger students succeed.
- Confident speaking in front of groups (or eager to develop this skill).
- Responsible, dependable, and professional.
- Excellent team players who communicate respectfully.
- Willing to learn and accept feedback.
- Comfortable interacting with children and young adolescents.
- Interested in leadership, education, community service, or youth engagement.

Above all, we're looking for students who genuinely care about making a positive difference in the lives of others.
