Join the Emerging Leaders Placement Project as a volunteer at the UBCO Volunteer Fair on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 11:45 AM – 6:15 PM at UBC Okanagan’s Nechako Residence (Kelowna, BC). This high-energy event brings together local nonprofits, campus leaders, and students for a day of networking, discovery, and community engagement. We are currently recruiting 12 volunteers to support this inclusive and engaging fair. Each role plays a part in making the event welcoming, organized, and impactful for both exhibitors and student participants. Commitment: One-day shift, Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 11:45 AM – 6:15 PM Location: In-person at UBC Okanagan, Nechako Residence, Kelowna, BC Accessibility: Volunteers are encouraged to support inclusivity and accessible participation throughout the event. Key Responsibilities 12 Unique positions Check-in & Welcome Ambassadors (2 Positions) Greet attendees Scan QR codes Hand out passports Provide wayfinding Exhibitor Support Runners (2 Positions) Assist nonprofits with setup, signage, and breaks; keep the floor flowing Headshot Station Assistants 2 Positions) Manage line-ups and backdrops Take smartphone headshots using a ring light (training provided) Resume/LinkedIn Clinic Greeters (2 Positions) Manage queues Direct attendees to coaches/stations Challenge Wall & Passport Attendant (1 Position) Encourage participation Stamp passports Promote social sharing Stage & Timekeeping Assistant (1 Position) Support the MC during lightning pitches Ensure sessions run on time Floater/Accessibility Support (1 Position) Provide on-call support for attendees and exhibitors; ensure inclusive access
