Volunteer Coach – EcoHoops Jr (Ages 6–10) | Kids-First Basketball Program

2170 S Sheridan Way, Mississauga, ON, L5J 2M4 [map]
2-4 hours / weekly
Ongoing
Let's be honest. A lot of youth sports today feel like a high-stress job interview for an 8-year-old. We are doing things differently. Every child has the right to play, learn, and grow in a healthy space.

Right now, we are looking for men and women (age 20+) to step up and join our movement in Mississauga. We have two ways for you to get involved:
• EcoHoops Jr. Leaders: Lead fun, high-energy weekend sessions for kids ages 6–10. We focus on play, movement, and building confidence without the burnout.
• Rep Team Head Coaches: Guide our competitive teams in a fresh, healthy environment that protects the love of the game.

Here is the straight truth: You do not need a massive resume of coaching experience. We do not need you to be a clipboard genius with the X's and O's. Frankly, we don't care if you mix up a pick-and-roll with a dinner roll.

Coaching with us is like planting a garden. You do not force a seed to grow; you just provide the right soil and sunshine. We want adults who care deeply about kids, have a true passion for basketball, and want to help fix a broken youth sports culture.

We provide all the training you need so you can guide the game naturally, like water flowing around a rock. Sessions take place on the weekend (Saturday or Sunday). Rep Team practices will be on weekdays (1-2x week)

Come be a part of a different kind of
basketball experience.
Additional Details & Skills Required
Training will include directly shadowing Head Coach Adrian Sapp at select Rep Team practices, giving you hands-on experience with the EcoHoops Philosophy before leading your own sessions.
Certification or Education Required
First Aid certification is an asset but not required.
