Join Our Board of Directors at More at Home Society!

Ongoing
Are you passionate about making a difference for seniors in our community?

More at Home Society is on a mission to support those who are falling through the cracks due to a lack of resources, long waitlists, or the challenges of wanting to age in place. As we build our nonprofit from the ground up, we are looking for dedicated individuals to join our Working Board of Directors.

Position Overview:
As a Board Member, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the vision and direction of More at Home Society. This is an exciting, hands-on opportunity to contribute to a small but mighty team dedicated to creating meaningful solutions for older adults. Your involvement will directly impact our ability to provide vital support to those who need it most.

Commitment:
- Time Commitment: 6 to 20 hours per month, including attending meetings, participating in committees, and engaging in community events.
- Location: Our meetings will be held both in-person and virtually to accommodate diverse schedules.

Desired Skills and Interests:
We invite individuals with a range of skills and experience to apply, including, but not limited to:
- Secretarial, office administration
- Fundraising or grant writing
- Community outreach and engagement strategies
- Marketing and communications
- Financial management and oversight
- Legal expertise, especially in nonprofit law
- Program development and evaluation
- Advocacy and public policy

If you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and work alongside a passionate team committed to ensuring seniors can age safely and with dignity, we want to hear from you! Join us in this vital cause, where your expertise can help bridge the gaps in services and create lasting change in our community.

Location
We are a remote organization servicing across BC, connecting online with fundraising events held in the Lower Mainland. Volunteer positions are remote as well. We look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with you to make a real impact in the lives of seniors!

The volunteer list of what you will be doing below is to encompass all needs. You will choose your skillset and bring that to the organization, not all of them!
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
What’s In It for You:
- Make a Difference: Use your skills and expertise to directly impact the lives of seniors in our community.
- Skill Development: Enhance your personal and professional skills in areas such as nonprofit governance, project management, fundraising, and community engagement.
- Networking Opportunities: Connect with like-minded individuals, community leaders, and professionals in the nonprofit sector.
- Personal Fulfillment: Experience the satisfaction of giving
