Volunteer Community Cleanup Supervisor

We are currently seeking committed and compassionate Volunteer Supervisors to support our Community Cleanup Program, running on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for approximately 4 to 5 hours per day.

This volunteer role is ideal for mature, reliable individuals who enjoy working outdoors, are comfortable working alongside individuals in recovery, and are passionate about creating cleaner, safer communities.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and accompany cleanup participants during community service shifts

Assist in interviewing and onboarding new community members joining the cleanup team

Engage with local businesses, neighbours, and community members to build trust and gather feedback

Observe and monitor streets to ensure safety and respectful conduct of participants

Act as a positive role model and point of support for individuals working through recovery

Who We’re Looking For:

Mature and responsible volunteers, 21+ preferred

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Able to commit 4–5 hours, one or more days per week (Mon, Wed, Thurs)

Comfortable working with individuals facing mental health or addiction challenges

Experience in outreach, peer support, or supervision is an asset, not required
