Position Title: Volunteer Social Media Manager
Reports To: Communications Director

Position Overview:
The community league is looking for a creative and proactive Volunteer Social Media Manager to enhance our online presence. This role involves managing and posting engaging content on various social media platforms to promote events, share community updates, and grow our audience. If you’re passionate about social media and community engagement, this is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience and expand your portfolio.
This is a volunteer position requiring approximately 4–8 hours per month.

Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Management: Post regularly on platforms such as NextDoor, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok to promote the league and its events.
Content Scheduling: Plan and schedule posts in alignment with the league’s communications calendar.
SEO Optimization: Utilize SEO best practices to ensure posts are discoverable and attract engagement.
Community Engagement: Respond to comments, messages, and community interactions on social media platforms.
Analytics Monitoring: Track engagement and performance metrics to optimize social media strategies.
Collaboration: Work with the Communications Director to align social media efforts with the league’s goals and branding.
Content Creation (Optional): If interested, assist in creating original graphics, videos, or other media for posts.

Time Commitment:
Approximately 4–8 hours per month, depending on campaigns and events.
Flexible scheduling to accommodate school or work commitments.

Qualifications:
Familiarity with social media platforms, including NextDoor, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
Knowledge of SEO optimization for social media.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Reliable and committed to meeting deadlines.
Content creation skills (graphics, video editing, etc.) are an asset but not required.
Ideal for university students seeking hands-on experience in social media management.
