Board Director

PolicyWise for Children & Families is a charitable, non-profit organization committed to action-ready research that strengthens the social and health systems supporting children and families. Together, we create a world where children, youth, families, and communities thrive.

PolicyWise is seeking up to three individuals from Western Canada to join our Board of Directors experienced in the fields below. However, we welcome applications from all those who may be interested in joining our cause!
•	Government Relations
•	Private Sector
•	Fundraising
•	Legal

The Board role is governance, overseeing CEO, financial, and organizational performance. Board discussions are strategic, generative, and future-oriented.

New Directors will be appointed at our September AGM with an initial three-year term, and the ability to renew terms up to a maximum six-year commitment.

The Board meets quarterly, with both in-person and virtual options. Board meetings typically last three to four hours. Board committees meet virtually every quarter for about two to three hours. Travel costs for in-person meetings are reimbursed. Time for reviewing materials and preparing for meetings is expected as part of your overall commitment.
