Volunteer Youth Literacy Tutors - Youth LEAD Program

6 hours / weekly
12-week semesters
Do you want to help young adults kickstart their careers? Do you want to share your love of learning? Join PALS as a volunteer Youth Literacy tutor. Youth Literacy tutors provide hands-on, practical learning for 18- to 25-year-olds looking to get back on track and gain the skills needed for work, life, and further education.

If you have the following qualifications, we would love to hear from you:
•	Good command of written and oral English 
•	Reliable, flexible, patient, respectful, and compassionate
•	Caring attitude and a sense of humour
•	Understands issues adults have with low literacy skills
•	Able to make an ongoing commitment for at least one 12-week term
•	Good digital skills, or willing to learn

Project Adult Literacy Society is looking for adult volunteers, living in the Edmonton area who are willing to tutor small classes for youth for 3 hours, twice a week. Classes are 12-week semesters, with training, lesson plans and materials, and ongoing support provided. 

3 semesters of 12 Weeks Each:
September – November 2025
January – March 2026
April – June 2026
