Volunteer Literacy Tutors

2 hours / weekly
ongoing/year long term
Are you the kind of person who is always reading? Do you want to share that love of literacy with someone? Join PALS as a volunteer literacy tutor. Literacy tutors provide PALS learners with the reading and writing skills to accomplish their learning goals.

If you have the following qualifications, we would love to hear from you:
•	Good command of written and oral English 
•	Reliable, flexible, patient, respectful, and compassionate
•	Caring attitude and a sense of humour
•	Understands issues adults have with low literacy skills
•	Able to make an ongoing commitment for a minimum of one year
•	Good digital skills, or willing to learn

Project Adult Literacy Society is looking for adult volunteers, living in the Edmonton area who are willing to tutor an adult for 2 hours a week on an ongoing basis. Tutoring can be in person at the PALS office or at any public library or online. Times and days are flexible, according to your schedule. Training, materials and continuous support are provided.
