Nowadays, everyone has a computer, phone, or tablet, but not everyone knows how to use them with ease. That's where you come in! You don't need to be an expert, you just need to know the basics to pass on these skills. Mentor an adult learner in device-related concepts and to help them build confidence in understanding how to navigate them. From basic operational functions like turning devices on and off to practical applications used to improve efficiency in work—like using email, spreadsheets, documents, and everyday internet safety—learners gain the knowledge and skills needed for daily life, employment, and further training. If you are interested in supporting an adult learner in developing their digital knowledge and device-related skills and live in the Edmonton area, we would love to hear from you! Please note that we require proof of vaccination for in-person meetings. Training and support are provided. PALS – Project Adult Literacy Society is looking for adult volunteers who are willing to tutor another adult either in person or via video chat for around 2 hours a week. Training, support, and learning materials are provided.
