Science/Trades Tutor

Ongoing
Do you enjoy exploring how things work and sharing that curiosity with others? You don’t need to be a scientist or trades expert! Mentor an adult learner in science and trades-related concepts and help them build confidence in understanding the world around them. From basic scientific principles and problem-solving to practical applications used in the trades—like measurements, materials, energy, and everyday systems—learners gain the knowledge and skills needed for daily life, employment, and further training.

If you are interested in supporting an adult learner in developing their science knowledge and trades-related skills and live in the Edmonton area, we would love to hear from you. Please note that we require proof of vaccination for in-person meetings. Training and support are provided.

PALS – Project Adult Literacy Society is looking for adult volunteers who are willing to tutor another adult either in person or via video chat for around 2 hours a week. Training, support, and learning materials are provided.
