Mountain Plains Family Service Society of Edmonton

Mountain Plains is a non-profit agency and has provided foster care services to children and youth in Edmonton and area since 1991. We are dedicated to meeting the needs of children/youth in need. Mountain Plains believes children/youth should live in a family setting.
Mountain Plains is an integral part of the Edmonton foster care sector and strives to meet the individual needs of those they serve. Mountain Plains is accredited with the Canadian Accreditation Council of Human Services.

Mountain Plains provides recruitment, training and retention services for our caregivers. Our caregiver homes provide temporary care for children and youth ages 0 through 18. Caregivers provide day to day care and guidance until the child/youth can be reunited with their birth family, transitioned to a kinship family, a permanent adoptive home. Support workers work closely with our caregivers and service teams to identify and meet the unique needs of each child/youth.
