The Delton Student Learning Organization is actively looking for new volunteers to join our team. We are looking for responsible, committed, passionate volunteers who are interested in making a positive impact on youth within a classroom environment. Volunteers will work individually or in groups of 2-3 - please do not hesitate to ask if you want to pursue this commitment together with friends! In your role, you will gain valuable hands-on experience working with children both 1-on-1 and in groups beneath the guidance of school staff. Some examples of tasks our volunteers do within the classroom include: - Mentoring/tutoring individuals who require personalized support - Working within groups to facilitate teamwork, socialization and goals - Assisting teachers with more complex lessons or tasks We are able to offer flexible scheduling, verification of all volunteer hours, and letters of reference upon request.
