About Autism Today Autism Today empowers autistic and otherwise neurodivergent people, and supports their families, through education, advocacy, and community programs. We focus on strengths, inclusion, and practical resources. The Role We are seeking a creative and organized Social Media Handler to manage our Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, and Reddit accounts. You will plan content, publish posts, engage with our community, and track results so we can grow our reach and impact. What you will do Create and schedule posts a few times per week for Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, and Reddit, including the content calendar, captions, hashtags, and timing Create and adapt assets using Canva or similar tools, add alt text and accessible formats Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and moderate threads with kindness and clear guidelines Collaborate with programs, fundraising, and web teams to support campaigns, events, and announcements Track performance using native analytics, report simple weekly metrics, and suggest improvements Spot risks early, escalate sensitive issues, and uphold community standards You are Experienced with at least two of the four platforms listed above Skilled at writing short, clear, and empathetic copy tailored to each platform Comfortable with Canva or Adobe Express, basic video editing is a plus Organized, consistent with schedules, and able to work independently Aligned with neurodiversity affirming language and inclusive communication
