Are you a creative individual with a passion for website design and a desire to give back?
We're looking for a dedicated volunteer to help us strengthen our online presence and ensure our website reflects the incredible work we do every day to support immigrant and refugee women and their families.

Who We Are:
The Alberta Immigrant Women & Children Centre (AIWCC) is a charitable nonprofit dedicated to empowering immigrant and refugee women and their families through settlement support, language learning, youth and senior programs, and community-building initiatives.

What We're Looking For:
A passionate and skilled volunteer with experience in WordPress website design and maintenance to help us enhance our existing website and ensure it remains accessible, up-to-date, and impactful.
Tasks May Include:
•	Updating the website with relevant program information, events, and announcements
•	Enhancing visual layout and improving user navigation
•	Optimizing page speed and mobile responsiveness
•	Creating new pages or sections for upcoming programs
•	Ensuring accessibility and SEO best practices
•	Providing occasional technical troubleshooting

Skills Needed:
•	Experience with WordPress (Elementor or similar builder preferred)
•	Basic understanding of HTML/CSS (bonus)
•	An eye for design, usability, and functionality
•	Interest in nonprofit work or community support

Location: Remote or at our Edmonton office
Time Commitment: Flexible – even a few hours a week can make a difference

Certification or Education Required
-Currently enrolled in or completed a diploma/degree in Web Design, Computer Science, -Digital Media, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
-Experience designing or maintaining websites using WordPress (familiarity with Elementor or similar page builders is an asset)
-Knowledge of HTML/CSS is an asset but not required
