The Alberta Immigrant Women & Children Centre (AIWCC) is a community-driven organization dedicated to empowering immigrant women and their families across Alberta. Through inclusive, culturally responsive programs and services, AIWCC helps newcomers overcome barriers and build strong, vibrant lives in their new communities.

We provide resources and share knowledge to empower women and families in Alberta. Through community collaborations, we create programs, promote opportunities, and build connections to support healthy and vibrant communities.

What We Do
AIWCC offers a wide range of programs and services tailored to the unique needs of immigrant women and children, including:
-Employment Programs: Career fair training, computer training, employment resources, and job readiness workshops.
-Language Programs: English language learning, conversation circles, computer digital literacy, and financial literacy.
-Settlement Programs: Citizenship preparation, community connections, information and orientation, and seniors programs.
-Women Empowerment: Gender-based violence support, women's health and wellbeing, inclusivity initiatives, and tackling anti-racism and Islamophobia.
Youth Programs: After-school programs, high school to university transition support, summer day camps, mentorship and leadership development, and youth skills training.

Family Services: Community resource hub, family counselling, case management, food hampers, parenting support, and the Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) program.
