Alberta Circus Arts Festival Volunteer
Come join our team and be part of the magical fun of the Edmonton circus community! The Alberta Circus Arts Festival is hosted by Firefly Theatre and Circus, Alberta’s award-winning aerial performance company, creating original, high-flying work since 2001. Beginning with an online event in 2021, ACAF is now moving into our fifth year. The Festival is anchored in Edmonton’s French Quarter, with our main performance venue in La Cité Francophone. Local audiences will be treated to world-class contemporary circus on an intimate scale – it’s like seeing Cirque du Soleil in your living room! If you are looking to make new friends or join a new community, learn new skills or try a new hobby, have experience with circus arts or prefer to enjoy the show, or you simply enjoy giving back to the local community- there is something for everyone at the Alberta Circus Arts Festival! Taking place from June 19-22, 2025, there are many fun and unique volunteer opportunities with us ranging from providing support during our circus workshops like stilt-walking or juggling, to backstage tending of artists, to directing our guests to our unforgettable shows. We’d love to learn more about your skills and experience, as well as any specific areas you’re excited to help with. **No previous circus experience necessary! For more information about the festival and the link to sign up, check out our website: https://albertacircusarts.com/volunteers/ Importantly, we are committed to creating and maintaining an inclusive and safe space for all, as we aim to provide a safe and enjoyable experience and environment accessible to everyone. We want to ensure that all people a part of Firefly Theatre and Circus are treated with respect and consideration, regardless of their gender, race, religion, physical disability, mental diagnosis, national or ethnic origin, social status, age, size, sexual orientation or gender identification.
