The Entrepreneurship Support Program by Action Lab for Development is dedicated to advancing economic empowerment, digital literacy, and leadership for newcomers, immigrants, and underserved communities in Canada. We envision a society where individuals from diverse backgrounds have access to the resources, knowledge, and networks needed to launch and grow sustainable businesses.
Our mission includes five key objectives:
1. Provide practical tools and training to support entrepreneurial growth and innovation.
2. Facilitate networking and mentorship opportunities to connect participants with employers, investors, and entrepreneurial ecosystems.
3. Educate participants on ethical business practices, social responsibility, and inclusive economic participation.
4. Guide emerging entrepreneurs in navigating business ecosystems, planning ventures, and developing leadership skills.
5. Encourage youth and community engagement through volunteering, digital learning platforms, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
The program operates in collaboration with community spaces ensuring equitable access to learning environments and resources. The integration of MoralityCode AI strengthens the program by promoting responsible entrepreneurship and value-driven decision-making.
Context
The Entrepreneurship Support Program empowers communities through economic participation, entrepreneurship, and digital skills development. Online volunteers will play a strategic role in enhancing fundraising campaigns to support the program. These campaigns aim to increase visibility, mobilize resources, and ensure sustainable impact for underserved communities.
As part of expanding our operations in Edmonton and beyond, we are seeking strategic support to develop a comprehensive crowdfunding campaign. Volunteers will contribute to planning, audience targeting, messaging, and campaign execution strategies. This initiative will help Action Lab for Development maximize impact and provide essential tools for entrepreneurial growth.
Task Type: Outreach, Strategy, and Fundraising
Task Description: Messaging and storytelling for fundraising
Responsibilities:
• Develop core campaign messaging and narrative structure
• Translate program impact into compelling donor-facing language
• Integrate MoralityCode ethical framework into campaign messaging
• Recommend content direction (stories, visuals, videos)
• Provide sample taglines, calls-to-action, and key messages

Collaboration Approach
• Volunteers will collaborate to ensure alignment across strategy, outreach, and messaging
• All outputs will be integrated into a single cohesive fundraising strategy package
• Coordination will be facilitated through shared documents and virtual meetings
Expected Final Deliverable
A comprehensive crowdfunding strategy package including:
• Strategy framework and campaign plan
• Donor targeting and outreach strategy
• Messaging and positioning guide
• Practical recommendations for implementation
Required Skills & Experience
• Interest or experience in fundraising, marketing, or communications
• Strategic thinking and planning skills
• Understanding of audience engagement and digital outreach
• Strong written communication and storytelling ability
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote setting
Certification or Education Required
Bachelor degree
