The Entrepreneurship Support Program by Action Lab for Development is dedicated to advancing economic empowerment, digital literacy, and leadership for newcomers, immigrants, and underserved communities in Canada. Our mission includes five key objectives:
1. Provide practical tools and training to support entrepreneurial growth and innovation.
2. Facilitate networking and mentorship opportunities to connect participants with employers, investors, and entrepreneurial ecosystems.
3. Educate participants on ethical business practices, social responsibility, and inclusive economic participation.
4. Guide emerging entrepreneurs in navigating business ecosystems, planning ventures, and developing leadership skills.
5. Encourage youth and community engagement through volunteering, digital learning platforms, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
The program operates in collaboration with community spaces ensuring equitable access to learning environments and resources. The integration of MoralityCode AI strengthens the program by promoting responsible entrepreneurship and value-driven decision-making.
Context
The Entrepreneurship Support Program empowers communities through economic participation, entrepreneurship, and digital skills development. Online volunteers will play a strategic role in enhancing fundraising campaigns to support the program. These campaigns aim to increase visibility, mobilize resources, and ensure sustainable impact for underserved communities.
As part of expanding our operations in Edmonton and beyond, we are seeking strategic support to develop a comprehensive crowdfunding campaign. Volunteers will contribute to planning, audience targeting, messaging, and campaign execution strategies. This initiative will help Action Lab for Development maximize impact and provide essential tools for entrepreneurial growth.
Task Type: Outreach, Strategy, and Fundraising
Task Description: We are seeking a volunteer to collaboratively design a strategic crowdfunding campaign for the Entrepreneurship Support Program. Volunteers will focus on:
• Creating a structured and sustainable fundraising strategy.
• Engaging potential donors and partners.
• Strengthening campaign visibility across platforms such as GlobalGiving and Alberta-based crowdfunding platforms.

Focus: Strategy design and campaign structure
Responsibilities:
• Develop overall fundraising strategy framework
• Define campaign goals, priorities, and success indicators
• Design campaign timeline (pre-launch, launch, post-launch)
• Recommend platform-specific approaches for GlobalGiving and Alberta-based platforms
• Suggest basic performance tracking methods
